earlier today I was in the area of the kingman hospital with close call on my scanner. at that time a careflite helo was coming in for a landing at the hospital, and I got a cc hit on my scanner just as the helo passed overhead with a frequency of 159.645 and it was the careflite 14 crew calling air com. this frequency appeared to be a repeater input because I heard no dispatcher just the nearby helicopter. I did a fcc licence search for this frequency and found nothing. does anybody happen to know if tri State careflite has a repeater like guardian air does and if so what is the frequency?
thank you

also my scanner has a repeater find feature on close call and it didnt switch to any output frequency

On VHF, repeater find only works for the 144-148 ham band as they have a standard split. It will work on UHF, 700 and 800mhz as there are standard splits in those bands.

That makes sense as I have never found a repeater with CC on VHF, just UHF so far. Manual didn't mention that it only worked on specific bands so I assumed that it would work on VHF.

159.645 is an input frequency for this trunked system:
https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?fccCallsign=WPYX488

The trunked system you are referring to is located quite a long ways east of Kingman and unlikely to be heard while landing at KRMC.

Rather, in the Kingman area, that frequency is the input to the Air Methods repeater on Christmas Tree Pass outside Laughlin.

That's the repeater an Air Methods helo landing in Kingman would likely be using, too. The repeater output is 151.520.

And Air Methods acquired Tri-State Careflight last year.

And Careflight 14 is based in Kingman, and is now part of Air Methods.

Thank you. I thought that those systems were quite far away, but it gave me an idea of what to look for. I will program 151.520 in and see what I hear. It could be possible that they have a repeater in the Kingman area as well, since Christmas tree pass is about 40 miles away from Kingman. Wouldn't 40 miles be a bit far for a low flying helicopter to hit the repeater that far?
