I am looking for railroad frequencies in the Philadelphia, Bucks and Montgomery county areas. Mostly the freight and Amtrak lines. I have the SEPTA Regional Rail freqs. I'm not sure the RR database is up to date. Any pointers for an accurate source will be very appreciated.

Thanks.

The information in the database for CSX and Norfolk Southern are accurate. There is not a lot of traffic on those frequencies but there is some. I hear nothing on the Amtrak frequencies.

I have a VHF radio sitting in my kitchen programmed with the NS/CSX/Amtrak/SEPTA freqs for the area. It is all busy. It just depends on your location. I can pull in some Amtrak NEC traffic and a lot of the Keystone line traffic.

Go to the state level page and choose railroads.

I forgot to mention that my receive point is in the Norristown area. I can also hear some CSX traffic from Eastside Yard down in Philly.

If you're in central Bucks, I would suspect Amtrak traffic would be minimal on 160.920...might get some activity on 161.010.
