How does DMR work on a BCD325p2

Help please:
I have a BCD325p2 scanner that was upgraded for DMR before i bought it.
It is not decoding any DMR channels, before I blame the scanner and since I didn't upgrade it
Can anyone familiar with this upgrade give me a step by step instruction list on getting it to work.

Just tune it to a DMR frequency. Nothing fancy you need to do. Are you sure it has the upgrade?

Make sure you install the latest firmware. There have been some improvements recently.

I got it to work on a DMR station
I had to change the DMR threshold from auto to 8.
Problem is if you move the scanner a couple of inches from the sweet spot you lose it.
Only the DMR behaves this way the p25 channels are much easier to stay on.
I don't understand why this happens because the scanner has great sensitivity on all bands.
any ideas
