With the way things work in this county I'd say it's years away at the very least. So far nothing but talk on paper. There appears to be no hurry to change from the conventional system in use now.

Where has there been talk on paper? I imagine with a new 911 director things will change but doubt 700 mhz trunking is coming anytime soon.

When the county decided to abandon the narrowbanding of the T-band frequencies and revert everything to wideband they mentioned eventually planning out a new 700 MHz system to replace it. That's the only talk on paper I ever saw.

County decided because narrow band rules were changed for 500 mhz the vhf 154 mhz page frequency is narrow band
