Looking to upgrade w/o a lot of room to play with.Looking at an Austin Sprectra and wondering if the Austin base mount is better than a Tram 1465 ? Tram is less $ and would be a lower profile.Any info or opinions out there ?

Since it is in the Antenna forum I'm going to guess he meant exactly what he wrote....

I have the austin spectra on my jeep and very happy with it. For around town i can use a 1/4 wave vhf or even and 800 antenna works just fine on the P-25. for travel spectra makes all the difference, and the cost is up there but happy with it.
