Can I charge NiMH in a pro-26 or Pro-60

Yes, NiMH batteries can be charged in the scanner but this is not recommended. The charge current is very low at about 60mA with a wide tolerance. The usual NiMH battery will take between two and four days to charge at that rate. Since the cells are being charged in series, there is no individual charge sensing for each cell like there would be if using an external charger from Maha or similar. Some users have had defective cells leak or get very hot when charging in a scanner where the charging circuit is crude and does not evaluate battery condition. The resulting damage to the scanner can destroy it.
