In the trunking software I was looking around checking out stuff and found the listed above under digital modulator type. wondering whats the difference was and what the SD RCS use? Are different agencies using the same or does it change? I hope this is the correct thread to put this in. Just asking a question here that's all. Sorry I just saw my post from a year ago, second question still open.

They use Wide-Band Simulcast Modulation. C4FM is for non-simulcast systems, and CQPSK can be used for simulcast or non-simulcast systems. It is system wide and does not change based on agency.

CQPSK I believe is reserved for the newer Phase I and II systems, older 3600 baud SmartZone and SmartNet systems use the "Wide" thing.
