Realistic Pro 2006 Help on AM Radio Stations

Was looking to buy a AM/FM radio from amazon for $100.(Ccrain radio}
But would only be using it for AM radio listening(Talk Radio}
But I just happen to dig out a old Pro 2006 and was wondering am I able
to use this scanner to pickup AM radio stations and not having to buy a AM/FM radio?

The Pro-2006 scanner does not cover the AM commercial radio broadcast band.

There are much lower cost AM radios than $100.00. Almost any tabletop radio covers AM and FM broadcast. If all you want is a local AM station a simple clock radio will do.
