Ive searched around a bit and didnt really get a clear answer on this -
But is it possible to lock out talkgroups on a Nexedge or DMR system using DSDPlus?
Do i use the "DSDPlus.Frequencies" file to go about this ?

If you select the talkgroup on the channel activity window and then press the down arrow key, the lowest priority should be LOCK or LOCKOUT (or maybe SKIP - I haven't done that in a while).

To restore a locked out talkgroup, you need to edit the DSDPlus.groups file.

You can also pre-lockout a talkgroup (or otherwise change its priority) by editing DSDPLus.groups.

Thanks for the tip - i did this but it didnt seem to work
Maybe i did it incorrectly
How do i "select" the talkgroup in the activity window?
Also i dont see a "DSDPlus.groups" file - only "DSDPlus.event" "DSDPlus.Frequencies" and "DSDPlus.srt"

You can also use the left and right mouse buttons to do this. Hover over the priority column.

I have searched around regarding this and what i have seen is mostly about the "Dsdplus.groups" file which i dont seem to have is that a file i should download?..

This is from the groups file. You should have one in your dsd folder. If not, search "DSDPlus.groups" on your pc.

; DSD+ 2.XX; group records
;
; you can edit this file while DSD+ is running
;
; line format:
protocol, networkID, group, priority, override, hits, timestamp, "group alias"

This is a sample of my groups file. I placed the titles above where they go.

Code:
protocol networkID group priority override hits timestamp group alias
P25,       0,         1,        50,  Normal,    4398,  2017/10/25 18:26,  "your alias here"
P25,       0,         2,        50,  Normal,       1,  2017/10/23 18:13,  ""
P25,       0,         5,        50,  Normal,       3,  2017/10/19 16:31,  ""

DSDPlus creates the .groups file. If you don't have one, then something is wrong with your setup.

My mistake - i must have been using another version of DSD that did not have this feature
I got another version now it seems to be working
Just to double check - 0 means lockout/ is the lowest priority?
Thanks all :D
