I haven't been on this site for a while or listening the scanner. My question is has any company produced a scanner that can receive the digital encryption yet.

What is it that you are interested in hearing in Essex County that you can't now?

My guess would be windsor police or amhurstburg police as they are the only 2 encrypted users in essex

Actually many scanners can receive digital encryption just fine.
Simply tune in with your scanner and listen to it if you so desire.

Your post misleads this casual-listening original poster.

Sure, it will trunktrack and display an ID, but you won't hear anything plain and clear.

On my TRX-1, I can hear local OPP and Windsor Fire/Rescue but no Windsor police.

Windsor Police have been encrypted for years.....

Again.. If it is encrypted no way you can listen to it... Well guess you could.. just go sit in the waiting room at the police station all day and hear the action from their portables

Windsor fire is NOT encrypted with the exception of a couple TAC channels, but for the most part, clear and digital.
