Bc436/536hp bc325p2 bc996p2 all require a 60.00 dmr upgrade from uniden.com. If dmr is your main thing. Check eBay. I saw some used ones pre upgraded for round 350. Whistler trx 1,2 can be upped for free. They're a a few more older gre psr/pro that can be up graded. Those would be used on eBay as well.
As we don't know what the future holds, I would recommend used if just for dmr

WOW, a big response to a minutial question.
I had searched the UHF band and found a local ( strong signal) open carrier at 466.375, but no decoding of talk groups.
So now i need an upgrade on my BCD436HP to accomodate MOTOTRBO!!
Pretty advanced system from Motorola, Trumbull only has about 30 trucks.

You should submit a database request to update it or you can let me do it

Yes, pls. Add WQZG957 (461.375, 466.375) to database.
Also, if U can, pls. Add data from FCC license WQKV506 (155.1975, 155.3775, and 155.9625). For some reason, only 159.3075 was transcribed previously. 155.9625 is currently being used for FD dispatch.

Not really a high price system, Easton, Shelton & Stratford DPW use the same system and the big draw is it includes GPS for all the trucks.
From what my contact at Trumbull center fire tells me you will love the change to Trumbull PD come Wednesday LOL
Nothing to talk about, Trumbull PD is gone 100% encrypted.
Yup, they joined the party. NAC 202, same bat channel.
Work brought me to the great city of Bridgeport last night so I put in Trumbulls licensed channels of-857.2625/812.2625 853.9875 & 858.4625/813.4625
After 4 hours got the following
Output of 857.2625 NAC 2D2 with an input of 812.2625 NAC BB8 (I see what they did there. Cute in a dumb sort of way) 100% Encrypted
853.9875 NAC 200 100% Encrypted very low power
858.4625/813.4625 Nothing
Database has been updated with these changes.
