I purchased a centon class 4 16GB sd card for my whistler trx2 and I formatted it using the EZ scan software. When I place it in my trx2 I get an error 3-01 message. I reformatted the card again, re inserted the card and still get the same error message. The card is attached. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Some cards don't work. I recently purchased a Uniden recommended "high endurance" card and it doesn't work in the Whistlers... Found another - Samsung - that didn't work either.

Do a search in the Whistler forums - I'm pretty sure there is a thread that talks about cards that work and don't work...

Sandisk class 4 work and can be found at Walmart for under $10, NO need for 16gb as it will increase boot time. A 8gb will record 10 channels 24/7 for more then a year. 2-4gb is plenty but they are getting hard to find.

Yes, I programmed the card when I formatted it using EZ scan Software then placed it in my trx2 and that's when I got Error 3-01.

The Centon card is probably not compatible.

Here is the description for the error 3-01

General error
initializing file system
Reinsert the MicroSD card to ensure it is fully inserted in locked in the
MicroSD slot. If necessary, reformat the MicroSD card using the PC
Application “Prepare SD Card for use” option. Replace the MicroSD card if
the problem persists.
