HP-2: Best Software Alternatives

Lol, coming from ProScan software, the Sentinel appears to be a bit limited. Is there another software variant that can allow the user to manually manipulate UID, edit TG's, generally have better control, etc? I saw something about the Sentinel Extreme version software, but I don't see it. ArcPatrol worth it?

You can do all of that with Sentinel.

There is no "extreme" version of Sentinel.

I was mainly curious if people use another software to program the HP-2 in more detail?

Explain what you mean by more detail and maybe someone can describe how.

I think I figured it out. You have to "program favorites list" Was getting hung up on the just click on the TG and editing it.

Sentinel can program the scanner in as much detail as it is capable of being programmed.

I use both. I use Sentinel for most programming tasks, and Proscan if I have to do a bunch of search and replace. ProScan allows you to change all channels with a Delay of 2 seconds to 5 seconds, for example.

like to put my two cents in and plug the Butel programs . ARCXTPRO for the BCD996XT
ARC536PRO for the BCD536HP, and ARCPATROL for the Home patrol. So darn easy to use.
I mess around with the Sentinel and others but i always go back to the ARC programs

I tried the arcpatrol software. Not bad. May get the license to give it some more time

You left out "users" and misspelled "appear".

Corrected for you: Sentinel users appear to be a bit limited.

That said, ProScan software has nearly unlimited features (updates occur VERY frequently, lol.

The orginalpost was for HP2 - Proscan does not suport a HP2.
