Crockett County going digital Feb. 1

None needed I thought I knew who their dealer was.

They are going NexEdge but, from what the radio shop told me, they want to try to run mixed mode so our Troopers can still contact their dispatch when needed, but the daily traffic will be in digital and not analog.

Interop is why I assumed P25, although I seem to remember TACN didn’t have great coverage in the county. It’s also a nice change to see a county be very open about their communications, wish it was even remotely that way up here in Illinois...

We’ve got relatives all around Alamo and Maury City so i get down there every once in a while. My great uncle that lived in Alamo had his scanner on 24/7, that’s what got me into radio growing up.
