TRX-1: Can't update: "EOF was observed that violates the protocol"

I tried to update my TRX-1 today and received the following error popup:

"Web Error
There was an error retrieving version information.

Error connecting with SSL.
EOF was observed that violates the protocol"

Any else ever see this? I am able to connect to the internet, communicate with the scanner, etc.
I downloaded a fresh version of EZ scan, and updated my CPU using a fresh version of the CPU Updater, but the error remains.

What would cause this, and how can I make it go away?

yes, the web also gives me an error, to update:

Error connecting with SSL.
EOF was observed that violates the protocol"

I just submitted this problem to Whister via their website.

Whistler tech support just told me they identified the issue and will have it corrected shortly. Until then, update each element separately.

FYI: Updating each element separately doesn't work either. Same error - basically unable to retrieve version info from the internet.

I also just received an answer to my email sent to scannerbugreports@whistlergroup.com confirming that Whistler is aware of the issue and is working on it. Thanks for the fast response Whistler!
