Is there a way to take the Pro668 and Pro18 back to the respective Radio Shack versions of the firmware?

If you did the "unofficial" DMR upgrade for your PRO-668 and PRO-18 and "locked" the scanners in the process, then you can no longer use the tool to revert back to the original Radio Shack firmware. Your only option to change the firmware at that point would be to have Whistler do the official upgrade (to a WS1080 equivalent) for locked scanners which will cost you $89.99 each: https://whistlergroup.com/products/upgrade

If you have already had your PRO-668 and PRO-18 scanners officially upgraded by Whistler to WS1080 firmware (you didn't specify that in your posting), why would you want to revert back to the old/outdated Radio Shack CPU/DSP firmware that is now 2+ years old and doesn't support DMR/MotoTRBO?

If you saved Eric's Tool and the files then you should be able to revert back.

But I'm pretty sure RR took down the links and posts for the tool since Whistler offers an upgrade so I don't think you will find it through RR.

As some else said , if your scanner is locked from the hack no. If your on dsp 3.0 or lower then yes. you will have to source the cpu firmware you want, and the correct version of the grefwtool.

If you thinking of sending your scanner in for the legacy upgrade you can send it with whatever firmware is currently on it. If not locked it cost $59.99, if locked it cost $120, if broken it also cost $120
