Their doing investigations....not chasing rioters in the streets.

There's very little heard on those frequencies under normal circumstances, and probably less with what's going on down there now.

in the 90s they would have been more candid about the status of the investigation. now its just tactical stuff over the radios. postal service is 100% encrypted. could listen to the input frequencies to see if they are nearby

Well, gee, if they're encrypted then I guess there's nothing that can tell us...

1. Frequency of use
2. Time used
3. NAC used
4. RID used
5. Location of activity
6. Agency using said frequency
7. Inter-agency involvement
8. New channel assignments

No, there's nothing to be learned by scanning VHF/UHF federal frequencies during an active situation.

Anyone listening to UHF Federal frequencies down there? I bet USPS and ATF is pretty active.

Active frequencies listed from another thread:

165.9125 N650 Simplex ATF (Encrypted)
167.2125 N167 Simplex FBI. (Encrypted)

With 500 special agents working on the investigation, I would bet there are other active frequencies.

Cool thanks for posting. Yeah we had ATF and USPS active up here the first day the bombings happened. Might have been just a coincidence -- no idea.
