Central PA DOD Systems

Can anyone out in the greater Mechanicsburg metro area do some checking of the DOD systems?

I noted back in the fall that the NAVICP Mechanicsburg site on this system:

was now operating as part of this system:

I am curious about the Carlisle Barracks and New Cumberland sites. I have not had an opportunity to monitor them in depth in any way.

This system is also supposed to be active in the Mechanicsburg area, but no local talkgroups have been reported for the area:

Last time I was out there a few months ago, I did hear radio checks on a talkgroup for the Navy regional ops center. I didn't have time to park and investigate the system though.

I will see what I can do. I will take a ride around, perhaps this weekend and see what I can find in New Cumberland.

you shouldn't have to ride around.... you should be able to get it from home.

After reading through some other forums conversations regarding DOD stuff, it seems the Navy has their own network going separate from other DOD installations. Since New Cumberland and Carlisle are both Army, I guess that might be why Mechanicsburg changed. But, I have not had an opportunity to check the old Carlisle and New Cumberland sites to see what's up.

I took my lap top with Pro96com for a ride this afternoon but the software,
V1.1.16 running under windows 10 was so buggy, I had to give up.
If I get it ironed out, will have some info soon..

I am in the Mechanicsburg, PA area (Hampden Twp) today and am getting a hit for system 14C, site 1-003, showing the following:

385.0375 control
385.73750 alt cc
385.95000 alt cc
387.43750 alt cc
387.65000 voice
387.92500 voice
389.20000 voice
389.37500 voice

Unsure if this could be the Carlisle Army War College from the old DOD central PA system.

The other two locations for that old system have been reported to now be split between DOD systems 13A and 14C.

Talkgroups on site 1-003 today include:

3201
3302 (enc)
3501
3509
3600
3606
3800

No definitive ID made as of yet for talkgroup use.

Reception is a little sketchy where I am which makes me lean toward the Carlisle site.
