Now that there has been an increase in members with NXDN capable radios, I have received several submissions for NXDN trunked systems.

While it appeared initially several of these were standalone systems, upon further research based on noting the same System ID and common TGs, appears they are part of a much broader SoCal system with couple dozen licenses in names of Mark Abrams, DK Automotive, Mobile Relay Associates, Summer Hansen, etc

I am hoping we can use this thread to work out additional details before I build the system for the Db.

Here is what we have so far:

Some common noted talkgroups are

54 - LA Co. Ambulance
98 - Ambulance
107 - LA Co./Northern OC Ambulance
168 - Trucking
187 - Bus line
190 - Bus line
209 - Private security company (ACS?)

Would appreciate any additional input as to potential locations of noted sites, frequency LCN order, plus new sites, frequencies and talk groups.

Happy hunting!

Some more notes on MRA 31 System here and FCC License links that's used on the system.

Restricted Info wiki page.
RadioReference has restricted access to the public for all Mobile Relay Associates ("MRA") trunked system information stored in the RadioReference Database (RRDB).
http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Restricted_Info

RadioReference receives a letter demanding removal of Mobile Relay Associates SMR

RadioReference Formally Responds to MRA Demand to remove information
https://forums.radioreference.com/c...y-responds-mra-demand-remove-information.html

In the past on the forum on the other thread, one of the moderator said....

Folks, I removed the LCN and talkgroup info per the sites current policy on this system.
Please refrain from posting further LCN and talkgroup info in the forums on this system. Also, please do not debate this issue. The site has made a decision on this and it's not open for debate :)
Thanks for your understanding

Thanks MtnBiker2005.

Yes aware of MRA restriction, however the bulk of licenses for frequencies identified do not come back to MRA, so frankly I am not sure who it belongs to.

While these MRA licences have potential links to this system so far:

Regardless, however we still have many MRA systems built and kept current in the Db with submissions.
However as per policy have them set to "No Display". In LA County alone I have maintained 10 MRA LTRs over the years.

some of the MRA frequencies are indeed not licensed to them, the site at Rancho Cucamonga is one such
its listed as another company

Example on the Rancho Site
471.25 is M2M
472.9875 is Mobile Relay
471.3125 is Mobile Relay

and if you look at the licenses they occupy the same tower

then look at the letters and the contact info on the FCC ULS page

and in RR's defense its not like these sites are that hard to figure out, im finding that NXDN sites are pretty easy compared to DMR

FWIW, Mark Abrams is one of the owners of MRA.

Also, looking at the coverage maps on their website, it lists site names and numbers, which appear to jive nicely with what I have logged over the last several years with DSDPlus and Mtnbiker's logs.
It is not all-inclusive, but the major sites are shown.

How to program these sites into a 436hp

Can someone provide some guidance on how to manually program these new NXDN systems into the Uniden 436hp? I got the upgrade, but am having difficulty determining how to (step-by-step) program a NXDN system into my scanner? I want to listen to the KABC sites, and some of these newly revealed systems to get my feet wet in the NXDN realm.

Thanks...

Select favorites list
Add new NXDN trunk system
Build each site with the assigned site frequencies including its LCN number and RAN code as shown in the DB
Add talkgroups or enable TG search.
KABC is a pretty quiet system unless something newsworthy is happening.

For unknowns, you have to find the site frequencies (may have the same RAN), build a site and use the LCN finder to determine the LCN numbers.
