Cobourg police seem to jump around a lot
They were on 800 mhz system
Then jumped to fleetnet for a short time.
Then decided to go it alone, and have there
Own system , on there old frequency, 142.485
And now they are NXDN on 141.785

I wonder what the issue is this time,
Interference on the old frequency? I.C. request for new frequency
I am still waiting for the next change, give it 6 months lol.
This has to be costing the tax payers money.
The last time there was a budget for them . They let the RMS project go down the drain to spend money on new radios. It was supposed to be a joint project with Durham regional.

They are VHF NXDN. I was monitoring their system and same with port hope. I think they were both patched in with each other also. Both are encrypted

There are not patched together. They are on two separate systems now, but still dispatched by Owen sound. Don’t know why the old Cobourg channel is still tx’ing port hope calls.

As per DSDPlus, only port hope calls are transmitting on the 142 channels and Cobourg calls on the 141 channel. I have noticed that the signal strength has decreased the past few months from my location on the old Cobourg channel.
