I am well aware that MONOC has been moving to the cellular network system (whatever it is called), and have rolled it out in North and Central Jersey. Here in Ocean County, they have been using 462.975, 462.950, & 461.800 forever. As of today it seems the channels went dark. Can anyone confirm they made the switch down here, and it's over for the UHF channels?

It was stated in NJICS Municipal Migration Discussion - Statewide forums that MONOC is moving their operations to NJICS 700 MHz P25 Type 2 Trunk System.

I work for MONOC and can tell you that we are switching over to NJICS. We will be getting a couple of TG, think total of 5 or 6. We were using shore 4 for testing for a period and now use shore 4 as backup. I'm not sure what TG 4731 is, might be one of the new TG we will be getting. I'll have to keep a listen to it."

The have two talk groups already, North 4585 and South 4583 and testing /backup on Jersey Shore Region 4 4287, Possible new TG is 4731

Time to monitor and see indeed if MONOC has switched!

No they are not on NJICS yet, cellular system is still in use. MONOC 1 is the only one using the South TG after communicating with REMCS. Their UHF channel is done.

MONOC EMS UHF Ch(s) Status

Want to be careful here so excuse the extra caution before DB Admin make changes to the DB.

MONOC have been using 462.975, 462.950, & 461.800 these frequencies are now defunct i.e., done, not being used?

Thanks

As Dave mentioned the UHF channels have gone silent. Everything is coming over the cellular system.

MONOC is dead as of 08:43 this morning. Aren't they keeping the UHF as a backup? I would mark it depreciated, not delete them.

Wait, I am still hearing MONOC1 on the Medevac channel. Maybe we can keep this one active? Can anyone else confirm they've heard MONOC1 on 462.9625 since 04/10?

I haven’t heard them use that channel in a while, only on JEMSTAR and MONOC South TG. Still using 210.7 PL? Next time they have a flight on listen in on that channel.

I have not heard anything on the 462.9875 Tinton Fall's site for the monoc or cooper medevac's. I believe they use njics for fulltime comm's now. Remember Remcs is the primary for nj helo's. I did pick up a brief northern jersey assignment, on njics, for a ground medic unit. Check the njics wiki page for talkgroup's.

Seems like all this private Medevacs communicate with MONOC on the South TG after talking with REMCS.

Our Medics 257 were issued Harris Radio's yesterday, on there radios they are marked as follows

Northern Ops
Southern Ops
Ops 1
Ops 2
Air 1

They told me they are using there Sonims now as a back up.

I don't see much on Hunterdon, but 4583 is mostly likely Air 1 since I hear Atlantic Air and MONOC 1 on it. 4585 I have heard Air units on also, but that may have been someone on the wrong talkgroup. 4587, 4589 and 4591 are likely additional talkgroups they are using.

MONOC South feed hasn’t been active much,I’m hearing North and South units communicate on Shore 4. I’m picking up multiple radios on TG 4731 and 4733 on the Wall site. Unit 207 just conducted a radio check on 4733 with control answering them.

It appears 4733 is the South TG and it's probably safe to say 4583 is Air 1.

Noting the trend here, I have moved the 2 MONOC TGs (4583, 4585) on NJICS into their own subcategory - "MONOC EMS"

4583 Is MONOC Control South
4585 Is MONOC Control North

4733 Is MONOC South (What?) I am assuming it would be South Operations?
(Need a little clarification before adding to DB)

4583 Is then MONOC Air 1 - to confirm?

As it stands right now then
Northern Ops
Southern Ops 4733
Ops 1
Ops 2
Air 1 4583

Thanks in advance:p!
