Yaesu: FT-991A

I just ordered one last night---I really want to get into the digital modes -(WSPR-JT8)-etc...
I've been looking at this radio for a while. Can anyone post some feedback on setup and actual performance?
If I need to purchase software-(Radio Control) --What would be a good recommendation?

FLDIGI and WSJT-X. They are both free. Ham Radio Deluxe is nice...around a "C" note go get it. Do some searches...991 can be tricky to config for these programs, so I believe the A won't be much better. There are some documents floating around you should grab...simple google search should find them (991 settings for fldigi). WIRES-X can be fun. Wish there was more digital HF.
