Anyone in near vicinity to Ball State University, give a listen and see if they have upgraded that old LTR to an MotoTRBO system yet. Also since MPD and BSU PD are on P25, are the old Backup TGs on that old ERS OCI Motorola system still valid? In fact, is that old beast still valid at all? I know that ERS OCI have been moving faster and faster lately to get everything over to MotoTRBO.

Yes, all of BSU is on MotoTRBO (besides the PD and parking services).

I don’t know what the backup is on but it did not change after the P25 upgrade. If on backup, we can not scan any other channel.

OK.. I need the version of MotoTRBO, is it an Connect Plus, or Capacity Plus? System ID (SysID), Color Code, Logical CH Numbers (LCN)... And of course TGs in use.

Old system is deprecated, new one is up... The listed backup system is this one: https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=2197

Anyone with an DMR scanner near BSU

I need confirmation of the flavor of the new MotoTRBO TRS in use at Ball State University.
Is it an Connect Plus, or Capacity Plus? If Con+ then I need the SysID, and LCN's. Regardless of flavor, I need the Color Code in use, and then TG's in use once they are identified.

they went to mototrbo about 2 years ago..ive been kinda listening and getting a few tg's on my spare time. I dont know how to ID all the tg's the way u guys do but ive been using DSD+ and i know group 47 is sports facilities and 26 is North Grounds. Only reason i know this is cause they issued all of us on campus (not PD) new radios about 2 years ago and i recognize the voices of my coworkers that work in different departments

Here's a screenshot of the analysis screen from Proscan I was just able to get.

(Side question: What does the S, Q, and A refer to?)

Umm you are somehow showing the ERS OCI TRBOConnect TRS, Site 14 which is the Anderson site.

What is DSD showing for it? Con or Cap? If Con what SysID? And the Control Chan? Color Code?

i think he has the frequency wrong...its not one of the 5 on the fcc link i posted above
i think he meant to put in 452.3625 and not 452.4625

how do i find the lcn order,,,or can i?...i ran a search of finding lcr order and came across another post on here where u explain about listening to the different channels...theres isnt one thats always 'buzzing' but one channel will ''blip' information for a while then itll switch to one of the other 4 channels and do the same thing for a while. It seems to alternate between 3 of the 5 channels most of the time. once in a while itll be solid buzzing with nothing but info in the black window. The only other time its solid is when someone is keyed up and talking...hope this makes sense

On Cap Plus DMR systems, you have an system that is basically digital LTR. There are data bursts over the main frequency until it is used for voice, then the data flips to another freq until that original one is free again. This is used instead of an Control Chan like Con Plus uses. I am not sure if DSD Plus has a easy way to determine LCN order but it does show the CH Number that the activity is on... SO if you follow the freq the talking is on, and note the CH Number shown (your screenshot shows CH 3 and CH 4 being used) you can log at least some of the LCNs in use. Hopefully this can get backed up by someone with a DMR capable scanner that can do an LCN Finder run on it . Being only five freqs it should not be too hard during a usual day to get them found. Nights and Weekends and during vacations it will be harder as there is far less use of the system.
