thank you, Paul,

I was just about to ask why I had a 1.17 FW when I went to update the 3 just now.

Thank you Paul and Uniden... love seeing fw updates. The fw should be tweaked weekly with weekly fw updates....

Is there any place where I can get the bin file for 1.17.00 for my 436 and 536? My work blocks Sentinel from doing updates.

From the looks of the 'fixes', if you have an x36 scanner without the DMR or NXDN upgrades you could probably skip the download.

As an old(er) acquisition type, this is why we had IOT&E (Initial Operational Test & Evaluation). To try and get the bugs worked out before things hit the field. Even then the first year or so after a major upgrade, we'd be putting out dozens of fixes for issues testing just doesn't think about. :(

Thanks for the updates UPMan, you guys are making the engineers earn their money. And it's great to see that you're back in the saddle again, I've been following you're blog and am glad to see you're back at the helm again and wish you a continued speedy recovery. John.

Firmware Friday continues! Can you elaborate on this?

Alias decoding is not only at the beginning of a voice transmission, but also while receiving voice data.

Even if it misses the beginning Alias, after that, can update it.
However, updating of the data is slow.

No joy on running LCN Finder on Cap+ DMR with RAS. Franklin County Jail got nothing even after several voice transmissions.

This update does not fix the Close Call recording issue.

Neither I nor engineering can duplicate this. What I did:

1) Start a recording session while scanning.
2) Turn on Close Call DND.
3) Key up a transmitter and start counting to ten when the hit is caught, then unkey.
4) Stop recording session.
5) Replay recording session.

Nothing was missed in the recording.

The issue is when I'm trying to record with ProScan. The audio data is streamed normally, but recording doesn't start in ProScan until about 5 seconds into the transmission.

Here's a video:

I don't know if this is a ProScan issue or a firmware issue. But it's an issue.

If the audio is streamed normally, this sounds like a ProScan issue. We'll stop chasing that gremlin.

Thanks, will keep an eye on it. Save Unit ID is still required, so must be fast fingered...lol! One thing must be said about this new feature, it's System Programmer dependent. Not all Unit ID's are assigned Alias ID's so your results may vary depending on the system you're monitoring.
