I have a question about the System ID displayed in 'Search for ... > Custom Search mode' vs 'Analyse > System Status' mode.

I'm looking at this system: Fisher Wireless TeamTalk, using a BCD436HP

On Custom Search:

463.3125 = Sys 119, Site 101, cc1
463.6250 = Sys 119, Site 102, cc1
460.7500 = Sys 119, Site 70, cc1

Using Analyze>System Status:

Site 101 = Sys 077h, Site 101, cc1
Site 102 = Sys 077h, Site 102, cc1
Site 70 = Sys 077h, Site 70, cc1

DSD+ is reporting Sys 119

Why the difference in system ID?

Decimal vs hexadecimal number format. Same numeric value.

What difference? 119 decimal = 77h. It's just shown in different units.

(but that might be a bug showing a different format)

What are your settings set for? Decimal or hex?

I've noticed this as well, if it is hex vs. dec can we get them to at least match the sys ID? So they at least coordinate? Or a setting or something?

Doing that would require knowing which one is correct.

Knowing that requires knowing hat the scanner is SET for (hex or dec).

Only then will you know which one is showing in the incorrect format.

Just make sure dsd+ and the scanner are set to the same number format.

My question was to the search for sys ID info vs. Analyze info if the system ID is 312 the search for option is accurate , however analyzing that system gives a way different sys ID, I was asking how to make them jive with the same system ID on both.. A setting in analyze? Hex vs dec?

Change the settings in the scanner.

MENU
DISPLAY SETTINGS
SET ID FORMAT

One of the two should match the two scanner displays up.

But, it would be much more helpful to know which one is wrong so Uniden can fix it so they both always show the selected format.

The only setting I find that has a Hex vs Decimal choice is 'Display Options > Set ID format.'
Set for Decimal = 77h
Set for Hex = 77h

:confused:

Changing those settings didn't affect analyze it still says 138h
And search for still shows 312 in custom

Great. Now we know that analysis is incorrectly showing HEX when set for Decimal. Set for Decimal it should show 119.

The only change that made was changing the talk group IDs function to a tg with an h after it, but didn't change the sys ID

Yes. That's the bug. The display should switch between decimal and hex when the setting is changed. It's "stuck" on hex.

So I guess Upman will see this, or do we flag it so he can? Or post it in the firmware update thread? It's not because of the new firmware, I've noticed this since nxdn was added to the bcdx36s

And just to clarify, I'm looking at a DMR Con+ system.

I am analyzing a nxdn 4800 I haven checked the nxdn 9600 yet but I can check it..
I don't have a con+ system to check here but I do have a cap+ system, but it doesn't show sys IDs very well on that particular system
