Park Police guys I know said they sign on through SAPD Info and go to their assigned channel for whatever area they work, Central, North etc...One is with their covert unit and he has all the same channels as an SAPD detective and works with Vice a lot. He said he didn't even know those four channels were still there.

The Task Force channels are only in radios for people who are members of a task force. Lone Star Fug, DEA, etc....Also SWAT, DPS, K9, Eagle, some supervisors and most investigators with county and detectives with city can get on task force channels. Usually non special ops or supervisors that have access are Rope guys.

Talk group 1561 is LS FUG TF (Full Encryption and one lid for all users but there is a revert channel for Emergency with a true-lid)

The Taskfc group
Is for multi agency
Violent Crimes
Human Trafficking
And even US Postal inspectors

Some officers like park police Dont know how to unlock there radios
To switch from system-1

Hit The M and Hit Left side top Button Unlocks the radio
then hit up down on front panel

XG-75 is to toggle a-b Switch

I know there Park police independent channels are still in use
I heard training a month or two back

True, a lot of officers in all departments don't know how to toggle through the groups in their radios unless dispatch talks them through it. The Park guys I know that have been there awhile said they can't remember the last time they used them(probably used for cadet training would be my guess.) The Park guys also don't have a Chief they have a Captain just like the Airport PD guys do ever since they went under SAPD in 2008.

I have been around with a few of the groups mentioned and can verify that Lone Star is on a task force channel primarily(seen the display) but has also showed up on the city encrypted channels as well as some of the Rope channels depending on the nature of the the operation. As well as just using phones and PTT apps at times.
