Catchy Title huh?

OK, So I am looking for a good rugged performance mobile antenna for my 536HP.

I take the truck in places where the saying is while building roads, "Tree trimming is Free"

What I am looking for is a 140-170 MHz., 440-460 MHz., and 700/800 MHz. multi band antenna. Spring loaded, mirror mount.

The Firestick CB antenna is spring loaded and holds up, the 450 MHz antenna without the spring whip snapped off right at the base coil.

So, very durable/rugged, moderate to great performance, Not a 100+ dollar antenna, as it is for receive only, and the boss isn't paying for it. lol

Ideas?

I had to do quite a bit of boonie-crashing in my work truck the last few days. Needed to get to a site that hadn't had the access road cleared in a few years. The antennas took a beating, and are still good.
I'm running a VHF and 800MHz Larsen for the work radios. https://www.theantennafarm.com/catalog/larsen-nmowbqc-724

The base spring seems to be what help. The good thing is that you can select a Larsen antenna that covers the frequencies you want and add the spring:

Chrome Spring: https://www.theantennafarm.com/catalog/larsen-spring-3877
Black Spring: https://www.theantennafarm.com/catalog/larsen-springb-3878
You'd need to shorten the bottom whip the same length as the spring.

That'll get you a durable setup.
You just need to make sure the mount will support it.
with the addition of this spring:

I second the NMO 150/450/800; fantastic antenna especially for the price. I never though of adding the spring. What a great idea.
