This is from st Clair township fire dept
Over the next two days all Fire Departments in the County will with the exception of the City who have their own system will transition to a new radio system. The system covers 9 Municipalities and 2 First Nations Departments for a total of 23 Stations. The current system installed in 1996 will be replaced with a digital simulcast system with wide area paging greatly enhancing communications across the County and the Safety of our Fire Fighters.

They are still using analog paging as far as I know (same setup that's used in Elgin and Oxford counties...). And no, the pagers will be programmed with a PL to avoid hearing any digital traffic. It's possible they'll use a dedicated analog paging channel but we'll just have to wait and see, however testing of both was done on 164.0100.

Point Edward gets paged on the same paging frequency and they respond on the sarnia fire channels. So if you program in the sarnia fire frequencies and talkgroups youll hear point edward off of them

PE gets dispatched on the lambton paging channel and they respond off of a newly built tower around PE. Im quite sure they use the same TG as sarnia fire does. Since its sarnia fire who dispatches them out anyways. If the city isnt on a call PE should go on tac 1.

Next time they get a call and im near my radio ill give a listen and see if im hearing them on any of the city towers or what the deal is. Im quite sure they use the city talkgroups just not clear as to what towers

Give 150.5300 a try and see if you get any action on that freq when they get a call. Or if you hear any TRBO bursts on it

When testing early on they were using the same groups. It's possible they are on their own now. Someone will need to use DSD+ to pin it down likely.
