MARTA TRS

Today, while in Atlanta, I was in the vicinity of MARTA’s HQ at Lindbergh. This prompted me to listen to their trunked system. I entered the Quick Key for “MARTA” and none of the control channels was received. I repeated the step .....NOTHING! I checked RR to make sure I had the correct programming information, and what was in my scanner was correct. Is the RRDB information for MARTA still correct? Any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong?

Marta is working as usual as i'm typing this...the control channel is currently on 853.8250

If the scanner you were using was your BCD436, did you have the Transportation Service Type turned on?

I was using my BCD325P2. I certainly recheck my control channels but I programmed it with a download from RR.

Hey Larry - I hadn't thought of that!!

Seriously, is there a chance MARTA has converted their system to a P25 I system? I was quite surprised that I didn't receive even a hint of a control channel anywhere around their HQ building (next door to the Lindbergh rail station).
