lansing fire department.

i was told while having a conversation with a friend of many years who lives in lansing that the lansing fire department several years ago, sub contracted with rural metro fire to take over the lansing fire department.. he says that city of lansing could save millions of dollars a year by doing this. is this true or false. thanking everyone that comments.

As far as I know LFD are still city employees. That would have blown up in the media if it would have happened. Plus I'm think RM puts Rural Metro on their trucks but I'm not completely sure on that
