Ted Moran, N9UQW Passes away

Ted Moran, N9UQW (Chgomonitor) passed away this morning from complications due to cancer.

We are awaiting word on any type of services planned.

Ted was a founding member and moving force behind CARMA and was extremely influential in its origination and operations. He started the original CARMA List at eGroups and transitioned it to Yahoo. He was also active on RadioReference as "chgomonitor"

Ted and his late wife Kimberley owned the Command Post, Chicago's only scanner specific store at the time. It was a great place to see the latest technology and meet other hobbyists.

Most importantly however was that Ted was a friend. He was my best friend, the best man at my wedding and a great co-worker. He will be missed.

I send along my condolences to any remaining family and friends, and my prayers for no QRM along his final journey.

This is very sad news. Mine, my wifes, and kids hearts and prayers go out to his family and friends

He will be deeply missed by all of the CARMA family and all that knew him

May he rest in peace, his suffering has been lifted
