In the latest issue of The Spectrum Monitor, June 2018, there is an article comparing the BCD436HP versus the Whistler TRX 1. Its on pages 19-23.

And the verdict?

Not worth $3 since I have the 436 and returned the 1.

For only $10, I can tell you why. :)
