I was listening to 462.950 (UHF MED 9) recently and heard several (at least 7-8 different) clearly EMS units ( "Medic XX" for example) being dispatched to various EMS calls. They called the dispatcher "Greenville" and used MDC 1200. The unit numbers corresponded with the MDC 1200 ID of the unit. The traffic was loud and clear for several hours. I live about 30 minutes south of Atlanta, GA. I've checked the Atlanta area and can't find anything matching this description. Could this have been skip from SC possibly? The EMS calls were only dispatched once (verbally). I assume they have a computer they send the call to in the units? Greenville SC EMS looks like a big, progressive EMS system and may fit the bill.

Thanks for any information you can provide to help solve this mystery!

Greenville EMS definitely uses a lot of MDC codes on 462.950. Their tone is 123.0 PL, if you happened to catch that. I bet it was skip from the northeast of Atlanta. Good catch.
