Most of the traffic is along I-15 and the Strip. I've lived here 2 years now and have not heard a peep outside those areas.

About the only place is on the strip. You may pick up some casino traffic on them such as hotel pool areas. Pool areas like the FRS because they are cheap to replace when they get wet. I like FRS when I travel but have been using VHF simplex more now that I have access to VHF hand helds and several simplex ch’s

I hear FRS all the time out in Henderson. Mostly businesses, schools, and kids.

Yeah, FRS use around here (LV area) is pretty much the same as around everywhere else. I mostly hear kids playing & their parents checking on their status, local neighborhood watch groups, and car/car use as people travel on nearby I-215. Occasionally I hear some rather suspicious, cryptic comms late at night ("A car is turning onto the street!"). Around the LV Strip, I hear some businesses using it (for example, MGM Grand's 'Wet Republic' pool club uses FRS channel 1 with a 250.3Hz CTCSS for some ops), visitor groups using it to talk in-between their hotel rooms, etc.
