Was up in Ulster County tonight, and kept hearing a buzzing sound on the County patch to 46.46 MHz.
Frequency is 460.625.
It sounds like some form of digital, but the audio type for this frequency is set to “All” on my scanner, so I would think if it was DMR or NXDN it would receive it. I may be wrong on the last part.

Anyone have any info?

Thanks
Mark

That was the old steering link up on Cronomer for 46.06 to call Base 3 as well as all other other low band channels including 46.46. I haven’t heard of a switch to DMR as it’s main use is by Platekill for Ulster 911.

46.46 Is the Fire Control frequency for Ulster County, It's not a patch frequency. There is no DMR on that frequency. 46.46 has been assigned to Ulster County for many years. Ulster County 911 uses 155.025 for dispatch on High Band.

460.625 "repeats" the lower parts of Ulster County from 46.46. 155.025 is for law purposes/polling, however.
