Alberta RCMP Sheriff changing radio system??

I've been listening to the RCMP in northern Alberta for a few years now and it seems they have changed radio systems. I think the new system that they have moved to is encrypted. If there is any news on this please let me know.

Look under the Prairies and Pacific Coast threads. https://forums.radioreference.com/prairies-pacific-coast/, Lots of posts on this including what's happening with AFRRCS which has most of the new Alberta wide system info. And yes, they will be encrypted as most police services are now or will be going.

scottyscanner - just access the Radio Reference frequency database, you may find what you are looking for there. as well as the frequency the RCMP operates on AFRRCS.

Once the RCMP move to AFRRCS, they will be encrypted. Alberta is the last division to switch from legacy analogue systems to P25. Every where else they have moved to P25, they have encrypted their comms.
