Does anyone know if the Cobourg Motorola is still active? Was trying to monitor it on the way back from Ottawa with my mag mount but was getting no signal strength. If anyone has any info that would be great! Thanks!

I was unable to check but I'm going back at the end of August so I will find out. Too bad there aren't more Motorola systems around anymore. They are great sounding systems but DMR and P25 are taking over haha!

Admins, do you think we could change the name of thread to "eastern ontario systems" ? Found some more interesting finds in Kingston. Looks like the EDACS system is gone. As well as TAS Quinte and Quinte Communications

BTW I sometimes hear MPT-1327 CC on 422.2625 which I believe is TAS in Sterling. Too bad I did not fire up TrunkView to decode it, might do that sometime just for old time's sake.

Looks like Kingston might have gone 700/800 according to records in the TAFL. Tried running close call and i can't find active control channels.

Freq=770.193750 NAC=6D1 Current network: BEE00.6D6 Kingston PS
Freq=770.193750 NAC=6D1 Current site: BEE00.6D6-1.1 Simulcast

Easy to find the CC when on the 401, since about four of the sites are strung along the highway. Monitored this a few times from Durham Region.

Eastern Ontario trunk systems

Tried the NEW Kingston 700 mhz. system yesterday. Found lots of talkgroups but they are either encrypted
or I have started to loose it in the programing process. Voices are all distorted. Talkgroups found are as follows. 1 2 4 1001 1002 1003 1005 1011 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2007 2008 and 3001.
Can Any-one maybe enlighten me. Thanks.
