Lee County Alabama Sheriff's Department Frequencies

Does anyone know the correct frequency use for the Sheriff's Department? 154.740 is not the dispatch freq any longer even though it is still listed in the database as such. It seems to be 155.7150. For the likes of me I don't know why they changed it but for as far back as 1971 when I got my first scanner (I was born and raised there) every one there was using 154.740. . . . Lee County Sheriff, Opelika Police, Auburn University Police and I believe Auburn Police. They only had two frequencies at that time as most departments did. One was their main channel and the other was 155.0100 which was the State Net. Back in the late 80's they all split off the county frequency and got their own. The transmitting tower was also moved from downtown next to the courthouse to the old fire tower site in Salem (which is the highest point in Lee County). Even though I now live just over the state line I still like to keep up with the goings on in the old home place. If anyone has a current list of what IS actually being used I would appreciate it.

Thanks

155.7150 (Tac East) is Dispatch. They still us 152.4050 and still call it Tac West . They still also use 154.7100, which is car to car, and call it Channel 3. I have not heard them use the State Net freq., 155.0100 which was Channel 2, in a long time.
I submitted the name change many years ago and it never got changed. Lighting hit the tower close to 10 years ago and freq. 154.7400, Dispatch, could be heard in the south part of the county but not in the center or the north part of the county. They wanted X to fix it and the county said just move SO Dispatch to another freq.

I had monitored the public safety scanner for the auburn football game. They used the frequency 159.165 which is Lee County Fire Dispatch West. The 2nd frequency is an unknown frequency 155.870. The third frequency is 152.4050 which is labeled sheriff tac west. They patch all these frequency together during the football game.

I'm surprised they haven't gotten on the AFRN by now like the City of Opelika did. Oh well as long as it still works don't fix it.

Yes they cut 152.4050 (Tac West) on last week with there first home game. All of the Countys SO and all of the PD and medical units are using it. I have not heard them call it Tac West all I have heard it call is Mobile Command. Last year they were on all on Talk group 32509 on the Opelika City site. This year so far that talkgroup has been dead.

Also Auburn Fire EMS (DMR 155.572500 Color Code 8) is being used. I have only heard then on this site last Saturday at the game and today.

Sorry about that forgot to add that. TG was 1000. Did not hear much on this site. "tiger 1 in position" and things like that.

Here is some audio recording for DMR 155.572500. The FCC database names it Auburn Fire. I am thinking when I post it to the Database here calling it Game Day Auburn Fire & EMS ??

Well I made the remark back in post #5 that I surprised that the sheriff hasn't joined the AFRN by now. Well low and behold I was updating my scan lists night before last and found and entry for them. Its only dispatch and it's "Te". So has anyone heard anything from them on the new system yet or not?

I posted that TG when I posted some new TGs for the Phenix City Al. site, that is were it is being used. That's the way it got put in the database. Most of the time there in the clear but I have heard the Dispatch go ENCed a few times.

Oh ok. I thought for a minute that Lee County was switching. Thanks.
