First scanner Uniden BC125AT. Picking up nothing

So i got my first scanner a uniden BC-125AT and it seems to pick up nothing. What can I program into it for the Brown Deer area? Also im thinking about just getting a digital scanner so any suggestions on a digital/trunked scanner that will receive Brown Deer/ North Shore channels and many others and can also be connected to a laptop to broadcast online and have a nice virtual software interface to experiment with?

the live feed to your radio.
also the page for the county says that the PD are on the county trunked system.
they show analog and 800Mhz.
so you would be looking for a radio that does trunking at the least.
no need for digital right now.

Looks like the north shore area police are on the Oasis system. If that is the case definitely a need for a p25 capable scanner.

No signal

The 125 is a good radio for analog, but does not cover 800 mhz or any typr of digital. Try the WX frequencies, airplane, or possibly railroads to see if you get anything.
