Hello all. I’m new to amateur radio and will be getting my license soon. I have experience with cb radios but that’s about it. I recently acquired an antenna tower for free and it came with 3 antennas on it. I’ve already identified 2, one is an Antron a-99 for cb and one is a discone antenna. I have no idea what the 3rd one is. It's about 34" high. If someone here knows what kind it is and knows if it will be useful at all for amateur radio and what’s bands it would be greatly appreciated. Here’s a pic.

It's difficult to say (not the best photo), but it appears to be one of those NMO base station adapters on the bottom. As to the antenna itself... ???
Given the overall length, my best guess would be a VHF (or perhaps a dual-band VHF/UHF) antenna. Even if that is correct, it could be tuned for frequencies other than amateur radio. Unless you can determine a model number, the only way to know for sure is to use an analyzer to find the actual resonant frequencies.

Antenna

Per above, probably on e of the AS base adapters with a mobile antenna....

Antenna looks like the AS mobiles from the 80s with rubber shock spring. Length would indicate VHF hi (most VHF-Lo are 40+ inches), but the short base radials look be for UHF. With no center loading coil, I would not think it was a dual bander....

Possibly just used as a monitor antenna?

It's what bandhlptom said. Old Antenna Specialist ASP series, and it does appear to be the VHF High cut.

Yes Antenna Specialists VHF but the groundplane radials are way too short.

And many have no clue about ground radials or groundplane.

Looks like an Antenna Specialists ASP 1/2 wave VHF mounted on of those Workman CB ground plane kits. IIRC, pretty much every A/S antenna had a proprietary PL-259 like mount but all came with an NMO adapter. Like others have mentioned it may be a receive antenna.

How long are the ground radials? With the overall length being about 34" it could be a 220Mhz version, especially if the ground radials are about 12" long. Most 5/8 VHF whips from A/S, Larson, Maxrad, etc end up being about the same length for a particular frequency. I have a Maxrad 220 5/8 whip and its about 32" overall so an ASP 220 version would be similar.
