downloaded the CSP & 700 Mhz system from RR for CT into my HP-1. Mostly interested in the Fairfield site. and any CSP or DEEP marine activity. Not getting anything here across the sound on L.I. One issue I noticed is there is no choice for P-25 modudlation in the HP-1.

What am I missing?

The CSP 800 system is Motorola Type II, The 700 MHz system is P25. DEEP is not using the 700 MHZ so far in my area (north central CT) but are fairly active on the 800MHz.

You should be able to hear some of the DEEP talkgroups on Site 1 of the CSP 800mhz system, 853.7500 is the control channel. Also with the HP series scanner make sure the service type is enabled (Law Dispatch and Public Works).

I'm on the CT/RI border and I have the 700 full signal. CC 773.93125. I programmed it into the 536hp as a P25 tdma x2 system. I run the system on Id search however I receive nothing. Is the 700 system not yet a phase 2 Tdma. Maybe same problem as original post.

You have entered the system type incorrectly, use P25 and not P25 X2. X2 was a Motorola attempt to get a head start on the Standard prior to adoption and in the end, they guessed wrong.
The system is still being built and is not loaded with all users. Cell 26 (773.93125) has Troop E users and sometimes SEAT buses. Eventually you will have quite a few users on it. Overall, there is very little Phase 2 traffic, mainly used for testing.

I deleted the P25 tdma x2 system end re-entered it as just p25 trunk. I put the scanner in ID search mode. Now, occasionally I see "DAT" flash on the screen, but I have no audio. I'm showing full signal with all bars showing.

Back to the original question. There is a system type "P25 Standard", that is what you want. I haven't even turned my HP1 on in years so I can't say what might need to be done to get it to work.

You guys are way smarter than I, but I just used sentinel, add all the CSP stuff to a favorites list and my HP-1 picks it all up. I hear all the UASI traffic as well. Not sure if I can help in any way unless a screen shot would help.

Back to original question: I have found the only option in the HP is P25 Trunking, P25 single frequency and P25 X2 TDMA. I have full control channel signal and have tried all 3 of these modes, however the system doesn't seem to be decoding.

Are you able to receive a control channel??

I also entered it is a solitary frequency and assigned it as digital with a P25 NAC, which also didn't work.

Maybe someone else has more info on this.

Did you enter a bandplan? I don't know if this is necessary with that radio but that is another possibility. If someone has a confirmed working Sentinel file for the HP-1, they can post the CT SW 700 portion and we can look at it.
As for entering a channel as single frequency, you would need to monitor the voice channels but would defeat the purpose of having a trunktracking scanner.

I did not enter a band plan as I understand this system transmits it on p25. Could be wrong though...

Chris, do you have the complete frequency list for cell 26 troop e? I'll try entering the CC and voice frequencies. They are not yet posted in the DB.

Here is what the license, WQYA371, has:
769.61875
770.36875
771.65625
772.60625
773.13125
773.93125
I don't know if all the sites in the Troop E Cell are active yet but I would imagine they are.

I took my HP out where I got a decent signal and was able to hear traffic on the Troop H 700 Cell. I did put a band plan in but I don't think it was necessary.
The bandplan that is transmitted is the standard one and you shouldn't have to use one unless it is non standard (Waterbury comes to mind)

I saw able to hear very limited traffic on the Troop C P25 Cell yesterday, I will submit it to the DB soon. However as with all the other sites currently I would monitor the existing 800 system as all traffic is originating from there.

Troop H, AKA Talcott or "Site" 28. You should already have them from the database.

769.70625
770.18125
770.90625
773.58125 SCC

Chris, Do you happen to have the bandplan? I can try entering that to see if it makes a difference.

UPDATE: I've noticed today that if I hold on the cc, the SID flashes across the display. This seems promising. I'm still monitoring for any talkgoups.

Do you know if that is just a single site on Talcott still or if that is now a simulcast? All of the frequencies are under the blanket state liscense, so I cannot tell from here, will have to monitor next time I'm in the area.

All over the map.

For some reason HP Sentinel labels anything Phase II from the database as P25 X2 TDMA in the program. Ignore it, it'll send it to the HP-2 correctly.

Part of the OP's issue is he's attempting to receive P25 Phase II TDMA on an HP-1, which is not Phase II TDMA capable. Only the HP-2 is.
