To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

In our old KPG software, we had an option for "auto dial" where you could put in a DTMF code, then send it on a specific channel.
Poking around in the new Armada software, I'm not seeing anything similar by name.

Any suggestions/solutions?

Some of our command staff use it for testing/activating EMWS (siren systems) for warnings and alerts for our small town.

I think cell phones have replaced this feature.

Please enlighten me on how cell phones can send DTMF tones over VHF or UHF.

Back to the OP: Can you just create a DTMF ANI ID for a single channel with the proper sequence?

My reply was referencing phone patching. Which I now notice is not his intended use. Phone patch has been disabled on all our amateur repeaters for a long time.

Just another case of not reading the full msg before jumping to a conclusion.

Great!

Was able to create a pre TX ANI in DTMF, and assign it to one channel. That way it's the only channel that it broadcasts that DTMF tone on.

Tested and working. Thanks guys! And EF Johnson support is great working with you too.

Please enlighten me on how cell phones can send DTMF tones over VHF or UHF.

i do it all the time either using the phones dialer or a DTMF app like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bytestemplar.tonedef

just hold the mic to the phone, key the radio and hit dial on the phone
it isnt always perfect, but it does work

and i recently rediscovered DTMF strings in my old Kenwood TK-863
and set up dialer codes to control the AllStar machines in the area i am involved with
even setup my TK-820 that way, works a treat

OP was wondering how his Kenwood radio can transmit DTMF codes through a public safety channel by itself. Not by utilizing a cell phone held up to a microphone.
