HP1 Quit Receiving

My HP 1 (firmware 2.06) has developed a unusual problem. It scans normally but when it stops on a signal the only audio is a series of rapid pops that last until the radio resumes scanning. Happens on external power or batteries. Have tried resetting unit but no joy.

Unit was back at Uniden about 2 months ago for replacement of the external GPS connector, FYI.

Try listening using the line out jack and the earphone jack to see it it makes any difference. It might be the loudspeaker amplifier that are the problem.

Yeah that's why you never use warranty/repair services from low quality companies like the current Uniden.
