The user guide for the software is in the Wiki.
However, I see that you picked BCT8 as your scanner for this thread. FreeSCAN does not support the BCT8. The list of scanners that the software supports is listed on the FreeSCAN above (the first post in this response). The only software that supports that scanner is Butel's ARC8. You can find that either on Butel's page or at ScannerMaster.
