I have several vx-2's and one vx-3r. I can use VX-2 commander to program 15x.3175 no issues. works great. With Chirp and the VX-3R It will not let me enter that channel at all.

Gives me an error about the 2.5 tuning step not supported.

Why does it work on the vx2 and not the vx3???

Thanks,

Rick

Did you look at the VX2 and VX3 manuals? Specifications should offer a clue. The user manusls should be available on Yaesu's website.

According to the VX2 and VX3 manuals, neither model supports 2.5 kHz tuning steps. Chirp is probably just enforcing the supported step sizes listed in the manual (5/8.33/9/10/12.5/15/20/25/50/100 kHz).

OK.. I understand that, but isn't it odd that VX-2 Commander software allows it to be entered and it works fine on the VX-2, but CHIRP doesn't and the VX-3 won't???
