Does anyone have the tone-out information for both the Wake County & Raleigh Fire Departments? I've searched the database and the forum archive with no luck. Thanks in advance!

If you can record the tones make sure its good enough to figure out. Or you can just download a recorder and freq counter.

I know this is possible, but I'm looking for the easy way to this information! :)

If anyone has a list of these tone-outs, it would be a great addition to the database. Thanks.

Thanks. I'd like to have the entire county/city but what I'm really looking for is the following:

Wake Forest
Falls VFD
Raleigh St 25
Raleigh St 22
Raleigh Batt 1

Thanks again!

Sorry to dig up this older thread. Since no one seems to have this information I'd like to try and figure them out myself. Does anyone know how I would do this? I may need to direct this question to a technical forum, but let me know if anyone has any advice. Thanks.

Resurrecting an older thread..

I installed and am running Two Tone Detect http://radioetcetera.googlepages.com/twotoneprogram
which is running great, but it takes some watching to get the tones close so the program works.

Is there a URL or list of Wake County EMS and FD tones running around? Nothing came up when I
did a search on GOOGLE or here on the forum (for a 'list' that is..some have posted individual A/B
tones but I'm sure we'd like to have a complete list). The program doesn't "log" the tones, yet if
you watch the display it's possible to get close and write them down, enter them into the program,
and see if they come up again on an actual tone-out and generate the audio file.

What I have so far is somewhat questionable. Plus, I'm not sure where the heck EMS XYZ is even
stationed, where there district is, ect.

This is what I have compiled so far in about 4 hours of watching/logging and verifying. Some have
not been verified though. The EMS Locution Frequency is 156.225 mhz. and the FD is 154.190 mhz.

I'm just curious how much interest there is among the group in this.

Here is an incomplete, unverified, work-yet-in-progress list:

No, it just didn't format correctly;

Battalion 1, the Chief, tones are 553.9 and 1153.4, is at Stn 19

Stn. 15; tones are 553.9 & 368.5; Engine 15, HazMat 2
Stn 19; tones are 553.9 & 389.0; Engine 19, Rescue 1
Stn 22: tones are 553.9 & 410.8; Engine 22, Ladder 5, SR 3
Stn 25; tones are 553.9 and 433.7; Engine 25

And so on, down the list.

Or is there something else not making sense to you?

To get this trainwreck of a thread back on course.
I have an updated list of RFD Tones with Battalion 5.
I will work over the next few days to get them added to the Wiki.
For the moment I have a pdf version attached to this post.

OK, we should all be aware that Gcom's PDF of Raleigh stuff (& which doesn't include Stn 28) is old.

Now, for extra points, can anybody figure out why the change from the old tone-out pairs to the new? What issue might cause a complete rearrangement of tones, and wholesale reprogramming of all fire stations & Minitor pagers?

<raises hand>Ooooh, oooh me teacher, me!!!!

Then again I don't want to ruin the guessing fun for others...

I could always be accused of having a narrow view of this subject...
