Hey Mark, Ive heard systems engineers talking about Shelby and Allen Co doing some testing but haven't been able to confirm the tags yet. I also heard that they are going to put another tower into service up this way off SR 703, The only tower Im aware of there is across the highway from Wright State Lake Campus. The engineers have been using tag 63776. Hoser

Just now copied them with Shelby Co and they were on the Sidney site working on a repeater as soon as they tested it, their traffic went to #258 which is Lima.

Don't they have their own talkgroups? Why use a mutual aid talkgroup?

Not at this time they are just testing and setting up the counties on the system. The officers are just using the portables and are on with the techs checking for dead spots in coverage, they are supposed to be up and running in June or July. Then they will have their own talkgroups and be up and running on the system........Hoser

Ok guys, at 0900 I just heard "Ohio Response Plan?" on TG 53264. They conducted a statewide radio test, it sounded like every major city/county in the state. I believe they included ONG and DNR as well. They said they will be doing it again at 1600 today. Anyone else hear this?

It didn't get any hits on my system running UniTrunker. So, I might not be able to nab any traffic on that TG from Ashtabula.

Another new one

6096... unknown correctional facility. Looking at the list it might possibly fall in line to be ORW-10...

6032 - ORW-5?
6048 - ORW-6?
6064 - ORW-7?
6080 - ORW-9?
6096 - ORW-10?

xCI-8 is common to all institutions.

Nothing off the Allen County site with UniTrunker either.

I have been parked on tg 35664 most of the day today. I am confident enough to
call this an All Call tg for WCI. I have added it to the db as such. I sure wish we
could get on hands on a template of their radio channel layout so we would know what
talkgroups are what! :confused::confused:

Trying to figure out their exact use is driving me crazy.

I've been getting 6224 a lot. It sounds like it's a correctional facility, and it looks like it could be CMC-8.

It won't be CMC-8, but rather would be -9, -10 or whatever is next available. The xCI-8 talkgroup is prisoner transport and is common to all institutions. As of a couple of years ago, the channel plan looked like this, and talkgroup usage was supposedly common to all institutions:

xCI-1 Primary control
xCI-2 Special
xCI-3 Maintenance
xCI-4 Incident operations 1
xCI-5 Incident operations 2
xCI-6 Supervisors
xCI-7 Executive staff
xCI-8 Prisoner transport (common to all institutions)
xCI-9 Possibly shared between neighboring institutions
xCI-10 Unknown
xCI-11 Unknown
xCI-12 Unknown
xCI-13 All call

The only ones I found from your list, are

10240 med tac 2
10400 Ottawa Hills Police

Both are on the new Lucas County Digital P25 system.

rescue - he's talking about MARCS, these are not Lucas Co talkgroups... MARCS is the Ohio statewide system.
