CB was pretty open this weekend as well, and last night 38LSB was hopping...not too much on 10m though...

Cool This Weekend.....LOL!

Just my luck,

We're expecting storms and a cold front to move through. Could be a good opportunity for some "ducting" work (not the heater or a/c kind, LOL!), though. If 10 does open up, then 10 FM might be a good place to catch some of the 'repeaters' and simplex DX as well.

Thanks for the "tip", Gentlemen. As I type, I'm on 29.6, listening. ;-)

Respectfully,
Joyeux Noël et Bon Année de Luzianne!
(Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!)
73,

Don/KA5LQJ

Could be Wolfe City, Hunt County, TX. FM (Farm-to-Market) 512 runs from there to Commerce, and they only have a "fireground/unit-unit" frequency listed.

Default VHF Low skip

If I understand you correctly, did you pick up Cal H.P. on skip ? I haven't got them in a yr. or so. I read somewhere in radio reference that they were no longer on low band. matter of fact I haven't heard anything from Mo. or La in quite awile. When I was working in the Dispatch Center we used to get bombarded by Erie County,Pa.(1200miles) alot and Zephershills,FL. that is "very interesting" to know that they are still on low band, I used to listen to Barstow all the time. Now about all the skip I get anymore is from Pa. FD's & NY FD's on 33.00 & 46.00
usually in the spring & summer. Check this out !! every once in awile I get WBBM 780 and WLS 890 they will come in very strong down here in the "day time", usually will last 3-5 hrs then it goes. anyone ever heard of AM doing this in the day time. Thats aprox 900 miles, No one so far believes me on this. anyone else ever had this experience of am daytime skip ? "Thats all folks" Iam done rambling
