Any ideas what these SDR artifacts are?

I don't believe it's locally generated. It seemed to arrive with the good propagation on low band today. They seem constrained to the frequency range in the image only. There are a few patterns but mainly they are random.

mancow, this thread over here Mystery signal question

It is my firm belief these are byproducts of an industrial process of some kind. If I had to take a stab I would say RF Welding. I have seen them from below 10 MHz to above 40 MHz myself, but a few bands tend to be the most prolific. If you look at the last few posts in that thread I show that the signals are MUCH less active on Sunday than any other day of the week. Also, they are only present when the band is in, and I have simultaneously been able to receive (if propagation conditions support) the same sweep on multiple receivers across the US and in other nations.

T!
