And I'll add that that method works well. Thank's for adding the RTL-SDR, Rick!

Try as I might, I can't get past this error when using the plugin for SDR#:

"Error loading 'SDRSharp.Trunker.TrunkerPlugin,SDRSharp.Trunker' - Could not load type 'SDRSharp.Radio.IAdudioProcessor' from assembly 'SDRSharp.Radio, Version=0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'."

I've tried older (and newer) versions of SDR# and unitrunker, to no avail. Remote.dll seems to be doing it's job on the Unitrunker side, but the SDR# plugin doesn't seem to load. Any ideas?

I don't know what the current status of the plugin with the latest SDR#. There were several versions floating around by Bob Rich, Zefie, and at least one other.

If your RTL device has an R820T tuner chip inside, you can configure the device as a voice receiver directly in Unitrunker. The display isn't nearly as pretty to look at (no waterfall) but uses less resources.

Apologies if this has been established already..But is anyone aware of the last version of SDR# that the ZEFIE plugin worked with?..
Any info on an updated version in the works?

That error message is an indication that you're using an older version of TrunkerPlugin.dll file that is incompatible with the newer versions(>1179) of SDR#. Use this dll file.. here

I just tried the plugin with the latest SDR# ver 1317 and it loads just fine.

Also, make sure you're editing the Plugins.xml file rather than the SDRSharp.exe.Config file.

Default Error Loading

Also, it's probably a unitracker problem more than yours, but in the setup instructions "http://public-xrp.s3.amazonaws.com/docs/sdrsharptrunk.htm" it says to have "debug" as the model for the control received, but it is not listed. Do I just type in Debug?

Thanks!

Click the "+" tool button. You'll see a pop-up asking what category of receiver you want to create. One of the choices there is "Debug".

What more can I say...this is amazing, Thank you for all the work and time to produce this application.

I am now running the latest version with SDR running in native mode. I really like the two audio outputs.
Everything is fine except that I can't get digital audio piped to DSD for some reason. But no problem, I will figure it out this weekend.

Just wanted to say thanks.

Mike

There is a lot of information to digest in this and other related conversations. For piping audio to DSD and other decoders, you need a program like Virtual Audio Cable to do that. Not saying you didn't know that, but the point could have been missed in all of the other details.

David,
Thanks for the info,

I have VAC and had some time to check out my install. It is now working fine, the digital audio is going to DSD+ and decoding very well.
Just had to go over some of the settings in Unitrunker and that did the trick.
I am using an old Radio Shack scanner with a tap for control channel output to Unitrunker.
I have also used a second SDR module for discriminator input and it works well too.

I have two sound cards in my computer. With DSD+ and Unitrunker having selectable audio inputs and outputs, I have the ultimate flexibility in audio handling.

Ok, call me stupid, but I'm having trouble getting this plugin to work.

I've copied the .DLL file over to the SDRSharp folder, but this is where I get hung up:

Quote:
4) Open SDRSharp.exe.Config and find the line "<sharpPlugins>"

5) After the line "<sharpPlugins>", but before "</sharpPlugins>", add this line:
<add key="Trunker" value="SDRSharp.Trunker.TrunkerPlugin, SDRSharp.Trunker" />
In my SDRSharp.exe.Config file, there's no section called <sharpPlugins>

There is however a section called <frontendPlugins> with some lines that look like the one above, so I stuck it in there.

Running the application however gives me an error message saying "Error loading SDRSharp.Trunker.Trunkerplugin, SDRSharp.Trunker" etc...

Any tips would be great. Thanks.

The instructions you followed are out of date, remove the line you added to the Config file and place it in the Plugins XML fie.

Plugins.xml is another file I don't have.

This is the guide I've been following: SDRSharp UniTrunker Support
Also been looking at this one? https://sites.google.com/site/policescannerhowto/

Are those totally out of date? Is there a newer one I should be looking at?

Cheers.

SDRSharp itself is updated practically every day. You probably need to download and install a more current version.
